The two open up about the viral controversy, its impact, and their ongoing legal battle.

In a rare opportunity, Ron Angeles and Andre Cue came together for an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda, where they recalled the incident that linked them to an alleged scandal involving a secretly filmed intimate moment with an unidentified woman.

It may be recalled that Ron and Andre were involved in an alleged video scandal that went viral on social media after intimate videos surfaced online, along with clips involving other male personalities.

“Nagduda po ako doon, may TV po kasi doon na may sticker na lion kaya… doon ako na-weirduhan. Bakit may sticker iyong TV?” Andre recalled when asked how he believed he became a victim.

Facing the fallout

Without going deeper into the details of the incident, Ron revealed that they continue to seek justice and have taken legal action. Andre also shared that he allowed his lawyers to handle the matter.

Following the circulation of the alleged video, Ron admitted that the controversy had a huge impact on his personal life.

“Siguro po iyong social anxiety ko. Kumbaga kapag nasa labas ka, yeah, maraming nagpapa-picture, maraming tumatawag sa’yo pero hindi ko alam kung bakit. I mean, bakit kilala nila ako?” he said.

According to Ron, even before the alleged video scandal, he had already been receiving indecent proposals, which increased after the controversy and affected his faith in himself.

“Kumbaga naglalaban sila for me, and sa isa sa pinaka naapektuhan ako is iyong faith ko. Iyon po ang pinaka naging impact.”

Meanwhile, Andre shared that the love and support of his family helped him through the difficult time. “Ang napansin ko po is nagbigay pa rin po sila ng respeto sa akin.”

Aside from Ron and Andre, numerous celebrities have also fallen victim to similar controversies involving privacy violations online.
