Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley face backlash as viral TikTok challenge sparks debate on influencer responsibility.
What started as a playful TikTok challenge quickly drew disappointment from netizens after Will Ashley and rumored girlfriend Mika Salamanca posted a video that many found inappropriate.
In the now-viral clip, the two played a word association game, saying the first word that came to mind based on a letter shown on screen.
Their answers, “s*so” and “f*kf*k,” raised eyebrows among online users, particularly because both have a substantial following among younger audiences. Some were especially surprised that Mika, a children’s book author, took part in the trend.
Criticisms grew sharper for the “Pinoy Big Brother: Collab” stars but supporters were quick to defend the pair, arguing that the words were not necessarily vulgar and that the meaning depended on how viewers interpreted them. “Hindi naman bastos ‘yan, bastos lang ang pag-iisip ng tao,” one commenter wrote.
I don’t go here anymore pero Will naman, nakakahinayang ka naman. And WHEN (yes, sure ako na it will certainly come) you break up, mababalik mo pa ba yung image mo? Siguro magkakaron ka pa rin ng projects kasi magaling ka namang actor, pero sinayang mo talaga ‘to. 😮💨 https://t.co/HEKpYXJ5FT
