Gian Bernardino shuts down fake accounts with viral witty clapback, turning impersonation attempts into fan-favorite internet moments.
Cup of Joe’s Gian Bernardino gave fans a good laugh after reacting to a fake social media account that appeared to be impersonating him.
Through his Instagram channel, the musician shared a screenshot of the account, which used his photo and featured a motivational bio that read: “Every morning is a new opportunity to improve, to learn, and to take another step toward your goals.”
Rather than issuing a lengthy warning, Bernardino poked fun at the account’s profile description.
“Di ako ’yan, ang baduy ng bio ah,” he wrote.
The actor then jokingly suggested a replacement bio that many fans found even funnier: “Dapat ‘I’m not a Filipino for nothing.’ 🇵🇭”
His remarks quickly circulated among followers, with many amused by how he handled the impersonation attempt with humor instead of frustration.
The incident also highlights a common phenomenon in fandom culture, where supporters often try to track down the private or “dump” accounts of their favorite celebrities in hopes of seeing a more personal side of their lives. In some cases, this has led to fake accounts gaining attention by pretending to be an idol’s secret profile.
While celebrity impersonation remains a common issue on social media, Bernardino’s witty response turned the situation into an unexpected source of entertainment for fans.
