Jayvee Lyn Lorejo takes over Miss Global Philippines crown after Valerie West’s exit, setting sights on Bangkok competition.

Following the resignation of beauty queen Valerie Pawid West as the Philippines’ representative to Miss Global Philippines 2026, the ALV Pageant Circle formally introduced Jayvee Lyn Lorejo as the new Miss Global Philippines 2026 titleholder.

During the crowning and sashing ceremony held on Saturday, Jayvee Lyn received a warm welcome from Pui Piyaporn Sankosik, CEO of TPN Global and head of the Miss Global Organization. Also present were reigning Miss Global Nguyễn Đình Như Vân and Miss Global Philippines 2025 Xena Ramos, who joined in celebrating the start of her journey.

As she officially embraced the challenge as the country’s appointed representative, Jayvee Lyn expressed both gratitude and determination.

“I know it’s a huge step for me to step into this opportunity, but the people who believed in me and trusted my capabilities as a beauty queen and as an advocate really pushed me to accept the challenge. I’m very grateful to Tito Arnold (Vegafria) and the organization for seeing these qualities in me and believing that I can bring home the Miss Global crown,” she said.

Jayvee Lyn added that her authenticity and goal-driven mindset inspired her to take on the responsibility.

“I believe that my authenticity and my goal-driven attitude also pushed me to accept the challenge because a true Filipina doesn’t back down. She accepts every challenge with all her heart,” she shared.

With her appointment now official, Jayvee Lyn is set to represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Global pageant, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, where she hopes to continue the country’s strong showing on the international stage.
