A fake account fuels online clash between A’TIN and BLOOMs, shifting focus from global milestones to fandom tensions.
A parody social media account has ignited a fresh fan war between supporters of SB19 (A’TIN) and BINI (BLOOMs), while inadvertently dragging Filipino-American influencer Bretman Rock into the viral discourse.
The account, using the name “Brentman Stone,” entered ongoing debates between the two fandoms by posting about what it claimed were double standards in how fans react to each group’s international milestones.
“No one should be mocked for performing on a global stage. Not SB19. Not BINI,” the post read, adding that global festivals are meant to introduce artists to new audiences and should be viewed with the same understanding.
The statement quickly gained traction online, drawing reactions from both A’TIN and BLOOMs. Confusion followed, as some users initially believed the post came from Bretman Rock himself. The influencer, however, is not affiliated with the account, which only bears a similar name.
The incident highlights how easily online conversations can be shaped by parody or unverified accounts that appear credible at first glance.
Beyond the mistaken identity, the episode underscores deeper tensions within the P-pop space. What should have been milestone moments for both groups—SB19’s appearance at Lollapalooza and BINI’s North American tour kickoff in Hawaii—became points of comparison that fueled renewed fan debates.
Clips from BINI’s show, including videos showing sections of empty seats, circulated widely and were quickly contrasted with SB19’s international performances. The discourse intensified as these short videos, often lacking full context, shaped online perception.
Bretman Rock’s guest appearance during BINI’s Hawaii show, where he was greeted for his birthday, also became an unintended focal point as circulating footage highlighted portions of the venue.
As the conversation escalated, attention shifted away from the groups’ achievements and toward interpretations of viral clips and posts.
The situation reflects a recurring pattern in online fan culture, where selective footage and unverified statements can overshadow context. In the process, the broader picture—both SB19 and BINI expanding their reach in new markets—risks being lost.
