If you have been watching “TV Patrol” for years, Gretchen Fullido is a familiar face. But a recent post from the longtime Star Patroller had followers looking twice—and flooding her comments section with compliments.
Fullido shared photos of herself inside the “TV Patrol” studio wearing a fitted purple dress, complemented by softly styled hair and fresh makeup. The look immediately caught attention, with followers pointing out what they described as her noticeably fresh and slimmer appearance.
Her caption was simple—just a series of affectionate emojis—but the comments quickly became the story.
“Parang Barbie!!!” actress Kaye Abad wrote, adding a purple heart.
Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco was equally impressed: “Wow… Love the new fresh and slim look…”
Other followers echoed the reaction.
“Ang ganda-ganda mo talaga,” one commented, accompanied by heart-eyes and fire emojis.
“Always naman maganda,” another wrote, while others simply described the news anchor as “Fresh!,” “Gorgeous,” “So pretty!” and “Beautyyy.”
One follower even noted that purple and violet dresses suit her particularly well.
The familiar face of Star Patrol
Fullido has been a fixture of Philippine television for years, becoming particularly identified with “Star Patrol,” the entertainment news segment of ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast “TV Patrol.”
She took over the Star Patroller role in November 2010 and has since become one of the most recognizable entertainment news presenters on Philippine television.
Before becoming associated with showbiz news, Fullido already had roots in sports broadcasting. A University of the Philippines graduate, she worked as a UAAP courtside reporter for the UP Fighting Maroons and also covered the Philippine Basketball League before expanding into radio and television.
She has maintained an active lifestyle away from the news desk as well, having competed in endurance events including Ironman 70.3.
That athletic background may explain why followers have long associated Fullido with fitness, but it was her latest appearance that particularly surprised many of them.
There was no dramatic announcement accompanying the photos, no declaration of a makeover and no explanation for the change. Fullido simply showed up on the “TV Patrol” set looking refreshed—and her followers noticed.
