Pinay called out kababayans who mocked her group at ‘Crash Landing on You’ site Iseltwald Pier.
A person claiming to have witnessed the viral confrontation between Filipino tourists at Iseltwald Pier in Switzerland has shared another version of what happened.
The Facebook post is set to Friends, but screenshots shared by several pages have since spread online. The writer said they saw the Aug. 29 confrontation but were not involved.
According to the post, a tour leader asked the “Pinay from The Netherlands na na-bully” to hurry because 64 passengers were waiting. It did not name the person.
The writer said the group kept posing and checking their photos despite the long line: “Pero parang wala siyang naririnig at parang nang-aasar pa sa kakapose at kakarampa.”
The account has not been independently verified. The writer’s identity and connection to the tour group are also unclear.
‘One second lang dapat’
The viral incident came as user Reamae Bagotsay shared her account on Facebook on Sept. 1. It spread online and was later picked up by national media, including television.
Bagotsay said she and three friends had waited their turn before a group of older Filipino tourists told them to hurry: “Tama na ‘yan! One second lang dapat every picture!”
She said she later stumbled while wearing heels and nearly fell, and heard someone say: “Ayyy, sayang hindi nalaglag!”
Bagotsay eventually confronted the group: “P*tngina niyo! Ang tatanda niyo pa naman! Paano kami magbibigay ng respeto kung hindi kayo karespe-respeto?!”
Her post did not state that she was from the Netherlands.
‘Katuwaan lang’
Bagotsay also shared screenshots of a conversation with a woman who said she was from the group.
The woman apologized and said they had only done it for “katuwaan lang.” She also said the group could no longer handle the online bashing and threats.
Bagotsay said it was not “katuwaan” for her group and pointed to the “very fine line between harmless fun and actual bullying.” She said they had forgiven them and hoped “this too shall pass.”
‘Context is everything’
In follow-ups on Sept. 2 and Sept. 5, Bagotsay rejected claims that her group took too long, saying the four of them spent less than 10 to 15 minutes taking photos and were also on a schedule.
She said she did not remember any tour leader approaching them: “Kasi WALA kaming naalala na may lumapit sa amin at naki-usap talaga.”
Bagotsay maintained that “nainip sila” did not excuse what happened: “Being IMPATIENT is NEVER a license to be CRUEL.”
She also admitted that losing her temper and using harsh words was wrong, and said the video should be read together with her caption because “context is everything.”
The viral video captures only part of the confrontation, and the competing accounts remain unresolved.
