The route opens on Oct. 28, and the company is eying more land transport options from Manila to Bohol.

Ceres Transport will launch a bus route from Cubao in Quezon City to Tagbilaran City in Bohol on Oct. 28—just in time for the Undas break.

Aprilyn Osorio, a booking agent at Ceres Transport’s Alabang, Muntinlupa City terminal, confirmed the new route in a Facebook post on Oct. 23.

“NEW ROUTE IS OFFICIALLY OPEN! CUBAO TO BOHOL,” Osorio wrote.

Bus enthusiasts had been speculating about the new route earlier this week, as they are hoping for more inter-island travel options.

The new route originates at Ceres Transport’s terminal along the EDSA-Kamuning northbound stretch headed to Cubao. The bus is also expected to stop at terminals in Pasay City, Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, Bicol, Samar, Leyte, and Iloilo.

Commuters can now book tickets through authorized booking agents. However, Bohol tickets are not yet up on the websites of Ceres Transport or its parent unit, Yanson Group of Bus Companies.

The development adds land-based commute options for travelers bound for Visayas. At present, Mega Lines Bus Corporation operates the sole Manila to Bohol bus route.
