Anne Curtis: Hubby Erwan unfazed by on-screen intimacy, the calm to her ‘crazy’

Anne Curtis reveals husband Erwan Heussaff stays unfazed by intimate scenes, praises his calm nature amid public attention.

Actress Anne Curtis said that while she and husband Erwan Heussaff have no qualms about her doing intimate scenes with leading men, it’s the people around them who tend to make things awkward.

“Nanunuod siya. Ang nagpapa-awkward lang talaga ay iyong mga tumitingin kapag may kissing scene, but other than that, sobra siyang chill,” Anne shared during her thanksgiving night with members of the entertainment press.

As a public figure, Anne acknowledged that some scenes can occasionally make Erwan feel a bit awkward, but overall, he remains supportive and understanding.

“It’s a conversation we’ve always had. Even if I ask him, ‘Do you mind?’ he says, ‘No, it’s your job.’ So it’s great to be with someone who’s open-minded, who understands that this is my job, and he supports that,” she added.

Anne also noted how audiences today have become more accepting of mature scenes in films and series, largely due to the influence of streaming platforms.

“You know what, even in the Philippines, dati sobrang conservative tayo. But because of the streaming platforms, nakakanood na sila ng iba’t-ibang series from different countries. People are used to it now na parang may ganitong eksena because they’re exposed to different shows and different platforms,” she said.

As she celebrates 29 years in the entertainment industry, Anne remains grateful for the unwavering support she has received throughout her career.

Erwan, she said, is one of her biggest supporters, and his being laid-back and open-minded balances her personality. “Gano’n siya ka-chill and I needed a chill person to my crazy. So, I think kaya kami nagko-complement kasi sobrang magkaiba kami. So, it works,”

Anne said she feels fortunate to have a husband who understands the demands of her profession and continues to support her every step of the way.

Like any couple, Anne admitted that they experience minor disagreements. “Hindi kami nag-aaway na away talaga, pero iyong inisan, normal iyon. Parang, ‘Iyong socks mo, soli mo sa laundry basket,’ mga ganyan lang, silly things. And I think normal iyan in any relationship,” she said.

Anne and Erwan tied the knot in New Zealand in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Dahlia, in Australia in March 2020.
