BINI, SB19 join the global lineup for Summer Sonic’s 25th anniversary in Japan.

Filipino acts BINI, SB19 share stages with international stars at Summer Sonic.

P-pop groups BINI and SB19 are set to take over multiple stages at Japan’s 25th anniversary edition of Summer Sonic this August, further cementing the growing global reach of Filipino pop music.

The festival recently unveiled its official stage assignments for both the Osaka and Tokyo legs, placing the two Filipino acts alongside major international and Japanese artists.

BINI will first perform on August 14 in Osaka at the Mountain Stage, where they are slated to share the lineup with acts including Jamiroquai and Flowerovlove. After their Osaka set, the group will fly to Tokyo for another Mountain Stage performance on August 16 with the same roster of artists.

Meanwhile, SB19 is scheduled for a two-city run at the festival. The group will first appear at the Massive Stage in Osaka on August 14 before heading to Tokyo for a Pacific Stage performance on August 15. They are expected to share the stage with Japanese acts such as MAZZEL and GENERATIONS, among others.

The stage assignments arrive amid a landmark year for both groups on the international scene. BINI recently made history as the first Filipino girl group to perform at Coachella, while SB19 continues to expand its global footprint following its inclusion in major music festivals such as Lollapalooza 2026.

Summer Sonic 2026 will take place from August 14 to 16 across Osaka’s Expo ’70 Commemorative Park and Tokyo’s ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe. Festival organizers have yet to release the official performance timetable.
