Cosmopolitan Philippines has issued a public apology after acknowledging inaccuracies in its recent article discussing the postponement of the European leg of BINI’s “Signals” world tour.
“We apologize to BINI, Blooms, and the group’s management for inaccuracies in a recent article regarding the postponement of BINI’s European tour dates,” the lifestyle publication said in a statement released Thursday.
It added that the article has since been updated to reflect the official statement from the group’s management and reaffirmed its commitment to “accuracy, fact-checking, and responsible journalism.”
The apology came days after Cosmo published a feature on BINI’s appointment as Philippine tourism ambassadors, which included a section discussing the group’s postponed European tour. In an erratum attached to the revised story, the publication acknowledged that an earlier version contained a summary of the postponement that was not clearly attributed or properly contextualized.
The original article was widely circulated online and cited by several media outlets, including radar, as well as by content creators reporting on the postponement. It also fueled fan discussions after citing logistical and production constraints as reasons for the schedule change—details that were not included in BINI management’s official announcement.
BINI’s management has only stated that the European leg was postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,” adding that efforts are underway to reschedule the affected dates.
The group’s “Signals” world tour opened with a two-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena and will continue with a Cebu stop before heading to North America in August.
