Users speculate after the app’s free transfer counter disappears, fueling hopes the digital bank will remove transfer limits.

MariBank users are speculating that the digital bank may be the next financial institution to offer unlimited free transfers.

Users noticed on July 9 that the app’s free transfer counter had disappeared from the app.

MariBank currently sets a limit of 50 free InstaPay transfers per month, with a corresponding countdown appearing in the app during every transaction.

However, some speculate that the counter’s absence may just be a glitch. Many still hope that MariBank will become the next financial institution to provide unlimited, unconditional free transfers.

Bank of the Philippine Islands, Land Bank of the Philippines, and UnionBank of the Philippines already made all InstaPay and PesoNET transfers free, with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas encouraging other banks to follow suit to make banking more accessible.
