From “Bakit Papa?” to “Halukay Ube,” the girls who defined a generation are back to make the whole country dance again.

They’re back—and ready to make everyone dance again!

The iconic Sexbomb Girls are reuniting for a one-night concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this December, sending fans into a frenzy after OG team captain Rochelle Pangilinan dropped a teaser video on Instagram confirming the long-awaited comeback of the country’s most famous all-female dance group.

Formed in 1999, the Sexbomb Girls first gained fame as dancers on the noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga.” What began as a dance troupe soon evolved into a full-fledged pop phenomenon thanks to their catchy hits like “The Spageti Song,” “Bakit Papa?” and “Halukay Ube.”

The group later became household names through their top-rating afternoon series “Daisy Siete,” further solidifying their place in Filipino pop culture.

Cultural icons

Even years after they went their separate ways, the Sexbomb Girls remain cultural icons whose songs, choreography, and charm continue to resonate with fans across generations. In 2023, several members even reunited for a Netflix ad, proving that the group’s legacy still lives on.

In an interview with Radar Entertainment, original member Mia Pangyarihan expressed heartfelt gratitude to longtime fans who continue to show their love and excitement for the reunion.

“Napakasarap sa puso! Nakakaiyak na until now nandyan ang mga nagmamahal sa aming mga Sexbomb Girls. Sa dami ng mga magagaling na sing-and-dance groups sa generation na ito, nakakatuwa na may naiwan kaming marka sa generation namin noon hanggang sa mga bagong generation ngayon,” she said. [“It’s such a heartwarming feeling! It’s overwhelming that even after all these years, there are still people who love the Sexbomb Girls.”]

“Napakarami pala naming ‘pinalaban’ at talagang hindi ‘bumawi’ sa hamon ng buhay,” she added. [“We’ve realized that so many of us have fought through life’s challenges—and we never backed down.”]

Nostalgic performances, surprise guests

While keeping most details under wraps, Pangyarihan teased that the show will feature not only nostalgic performances but also special surprise guests. “Abangan na lang nila kung sino-sino ang mga posibleng makita nila on stage,” she added.  [“Fans will just have to wait and see who might show up on stage.”]

“Asahan din syempre nila na dadalhin namin ulit sila sa year 2000 na lahat sigurado kami ay makaka-relate. Babalik tayong lahat sa pagkabata.” [“They can expect us to take them back to the year 2000—a time we know everyone can relate to. We’re all going back to our childhood days.”]

According to Pangilinan’s announcement, tickets for the reunion concert range from ₱500 (Gen Ad) to ₱7,500 (SVIP) and are now available via Ticketnet.
