Jodi shares childhood pics, lends ‘little piece’ of self ‘Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon’ character

“Everyone, meet little Jodi,” she captioned her post.

The nostalgic photos stirred emotions in the actress as she looked back on her younger self. “Getting a little emotional looking at these photos and remembering this younger version of me…the makulit, matigas ang ulo, confident ‘pag nasa entablado, pa-bibo little dreamer who always believed in herself kahit hindi siya sigurado kung paano and forged her own path, no matter what in the guise of ‘susubukan ko lang,’” she wrote.

For Jodi, the years may have brought countless changes, but some parts of who she was as a child have remained.

“Ang dami nang nagbago. Madami din namang pareho pa rin. Ang dami kong natutunan, at ang alam ko, ang dami kong matututunan pa. But when I look at these photos, I realize that a part of that little girl will always be with me. The same strength, stubbornness, curiosity, and courage that brought me here,” she shared.

That connection to her younger self has also become especially meaningful as she takes on her latest role.

“And that is the little piece of myself that I lent to Jo. I can’t wait for you to meet her, to know her story, and hopefully, to find a little bit of yourselves in her, too,” Jodi added.

Her emotional reflection came as her film “Ganito Ganyan Ganoon” officially began streaming on Netflix on Aug. 13.

The actress also encouraged viewers to support the film, which she described as a project close to the hearts of everyone involved.

“Sana suportahan ni’yo po kami. It would mean so much to all of us who poured our hearts into this project,” she said.

Directed by Cholo Laurel, “Ganito Ganyan Ganoon” is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
