Catch Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-winning musical at select Ayala Malls Dolby Atmos cinemas this October.
Ten years after “La La Land” first brought its Hollywood romance and musical numbers to the big screen, Filipinos can watch the Oscar-winning film in cinemas again, this time for just ₱180.
The Damien Chazelle film returns to select Ayala Malls Dolby Atmos cinemas from October 21 to 27, marking its 10th anniversary with a theatrical run at a price considerably lower than what moviegoers typically pay for premium cinema experiences today.
Cinema tickets in the Philippines can cost several hundred pesos for regular screenings and significantly more for premium formats, making the anniversary run a relatively affordable chance to revisit the film on the big screen.
For its original Philippine release in January 2017, “La La Land” opened in 115 cinemas and eventually earned around $1.26 million at the Philippine box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
The film stars Emma Stone as aspiring actress Mia and Ryan Gosling as jazz pianist Sebastian, two artists trying to make their dreams work while navigating their relationship.
Its mix of romance, music, choreography, and the realities of pursuing a creative career helped make “La La Land” one of the defining musicals of the 2010s. The film won six Oscars, including Best Director for Chazelle and Best Actress for Stone.
Now, 10 years after Mia and Sebastian first danced through Los Angeles, Filipino audiences have another chance to see their story on the big screen without paying the usual premium-cinema rates.
Tickets are priced at ₱180, with screenings running from October 21 to 27 at participating Ayala Malls Dolby Atmos cinemas.
