Queenie Padilla reveals divorce finalized in 2025, opens up about peace, faith, and why she calls divorce a “last resort.”

Queenie Padilla, the daughter of Senator Robin Padilla and Liezel Sicangco, has confirmed that her divorce from Pakistani husband Usama Mir has been finalized, two years after publicly announcing their separation.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, the former actress said she has found complete peace and is focused on moving forward.

“Alhamdulillah (Thank God). I’ve reached a place in my life where my peace is absolute and my path is clear,” she wrote.

Queenie explained that her silence was intentional and not a sign of confusion or weakness.

“It was a conscious choice to protect the life I’ve built since closing that chapter. I closed that chapter exactly two years ago,” she said.

She also clarified the status of her divorce.

“To be perfectly clear, that chapter is fully, finally, and irreversibly closed since October last year and finalized in December of the same year. To be more specific, it is not a talaq divorce. It is divorce by faskh, with a condition that makes it impossible to remarry the ex-husband.”

Queenie emphasized that she has moved on and asked the public not to associate her with her past.

“I have been at peace for a long while now, and I no longer recognize myself in any story that tries to drag me backward. So please do not get confused.

“I don’t revisit the past because I’m simply not there anymore. My energy belongs entirely to what lies ahead—my faith, my growth, and the quiet blessings of a heart that has let go completely. Please keep me in your du’as for my future, not my past.”

She also stressed that she is not encouraging divorce, describing it as a last resort for couples who can no longer give each other mawaddah (love) and rahmah (mercy).

“I am not promoting divorce or encouraging it. It is a solution, the last resort, for couples who are incapable of giving each other mawaddah or rahmah. May Allah grant us all hearts that are content with His decree and give us a better future. Ameen.”

Padilla married in 2012, a year after leaving show business to fully embrace Islam. The former couple welcomed their daughter in 2017.
