Regine Velasquez announces free finale concert amid emotional 40th anniversary celebration.

In celebration of her 40th anniversary in the music industry, legendary singer Regine Velasquez announced a free concert through a social media post shared by concert producer iMusic Entertainment.

The post was captioned:

“Isang Pasasalamat sa Apatnapung Taon.
F I N A L E
OCTOBER 18, 2026
FREE CONCERT
Registration opens on July 30 at 6 PM”

In an interview with Billboard Philippines, the iconic singer revealed that she is preparing to take what could be her final bow on the big concert stage as she celebrates her 40th year in the music industry.

Opening up about retirement, the singer described it not as an ending, but as a shift in purpose, one that allows her to embrace music on her own terms.

“It’s different now. I’ve gotten older and for a woman, it’s different. My voice has gone through a lot of changes, but somehow I’m still able to pull through, pero nowadays, it’s more difficult. Parang ’pag nadadagdagan ng digits ’yong edad ko, nababawasan ang boses ko. It’s getting more difficult to sing,” she said.

In the same interview, Asia’s Songbird also reflected on the changes she now faces as a performer in a rare moment of vulnerability.

“When I was younger, I opened my mouth and there was a voice because when I open my mouth, there really is a voice. No matter if I’m sick or whatever, or I’m dying, rain or shine, I open my mouth and there is a voice. Nowadays, it’s not like that anymore, only because I’ve gotten older, and I think people don’t understand that. Actually, I also don’t understand that,” she admitted.

Regine’s two-night concert will take place on October 17 and 18, with the October 18 show serving as her final grand concert.
