Leave it to Vice Ganda to turn one of the week’s highly publicized showbiz controversies into a chaotic noontime gag.
During a live broadcast of “It’s Showtime,” the Unkabogable Star recreated drag queen Maxie Andreison’s widely publicized assault issue in a comedic skit.
Dressed in a white outfit and holding a black wig, Vice engaged in a mock “bardagulan” with co-host Jhong Hilario. The exaggerated scuffle peaked when Vice exclaimed, “Sige, ima-Maxie Andreison ko ‘to!” while delivering a high kick at Hilario and pulling MC Muah’s wig.
The live satire appeared to reference the online uproar surrounding Maxie, the “Die Beautiful” lead, who recently faced backlash after an old video resurfaced showing her slapping and kicking a transgender woman during a heated altercation.
As social media platforms filled with calls for accountability and public debate, “It’s Showtime” echoed the trending issue through an impromptu comedy sketch.
