The actor-performer turns a dream into reality as “WRten” expands to two nights.
Wilbert Ross is stepping into a major career moment, and fans are making sure he feels it.
Tickets to the actor-performer’s debut concert, “WRten by Wilbert Ross,” sold out in record time, with seats snapped up within just 30 minutes of release via TicketNet. The overwhelming demand prompted organizers Viva Artist Agency Live to quickly add a second show.
Originally set as a one-night event, the concert will now run for two nights on July 25, at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City, marking an even bigger milestone for Ross as he celebrates his 10th anniversary in the entertainment industry.
For Ross, the response was more than just a career win, it was deeply personal.
“Di ko inexpect. Overwhelming lang talaga lahat,” he shared in an interview with radar Entertainment, admitting he had been quietly battling nerves weeks before the ticket launch.
“Kabado ako ilang weeks na… di ko alam kung kaya ko makasold out ng NFT.”
He said he had tempered his expectations, hoping the concert would eventually sell out, even if it took time.
“Sinabi ko nalang sa sarili ko na Lord sana makasold out kahit ilang weeks pa ‘yan… Takot ako na baka eto lang yung chance ko for concert.”
From uncertainty to a double-night stage
Instead, the confirmation came almost instantly, and emotionally. “Nung sinabi na soldout nga daw agad in 30 minutes… di ko napigilan maluha. Kasi pangarap ko lang ‘to dati.”
The two-night concert, titled “WRten,” will reflect Ross’ journey in showbiz—from his early days as a contestant on “Tawag ng Tanghalan” and “Pinoy Boyband Superstar,” to becoming part of the all-male dance group Hashtags on “It’s Showtime,” and eventually carving out a career as an actor and performer.
“All about me, yung journey ko sa showbiz,” Ross said of the show. “Yung mga kwento ng mga kantang nasulat ko sa ilang taon ko sa showbiz.”
Now backed by a full house—twice over—Ross’ debut concert isn’t just a performance, but also a full-circle moment, turning a long-held dream into a two-night reality.
Sinabi ko nalang sa sarili ko na Lord sana makasold out kahit ilang weeks pa ‘yan… Takot ako na baka eto lang yung chance ko for concert.
