Sarah Geronimo won’t be performing on Day 1 of the Aurora Music Festival due to health reasons.
“Earlier today, after rehearsals, Sarah was examined by her physician and has been advised to take full rest. With her health as our foremost priority, she will unfortunately not be able to perform at the festival,” Sarah’s label G Productions said in a statement on Saturday, May 2. It didn’t disclose her exact condition.
“We sincerely apologize to the organizers of the Aurora Music Festival. This situation was entirely unforeseen, and we recognize the significant impact this last-minute withdrawal places on the event and everything that has gone into it,” it added. “We are truly grateful for the understanding and professionalism of the organizing team.”
The label also asked fans for “understanding and support during this time,” vowing to “sharing more updates on her recovery and upcoming plans soon.”
Held in New Clark City in Pampanga, the Aurora Music Festival is the country’s largest music and arts event of its kind. Aside from Sarah, this year’s headliners include SB19, IV OF SPADES, Ben&Ben, December Avenue, SexBomb Girls, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, and Kitchie Nadal.
The two-day event also features hot air balloons, food, and art installations.
Geronimo’s label also asked fans for ‘understanding and support during this time,’ vowing to ‘sharing more updates on her recovery and upcoming plans soon.
