The 2000s hit band apologizes to fans after pulling out of the 2026 event.
Fans express disappointment after 2000s hit alt-rock band Urbandub pulled out from Circus Music Festival 2026 — for the second time around.
According to a post from the band’s official page, unresolved payment conflicts with Circus Music Festival’s organizers left Urbandub with no choice but to back out from the concert.
“This was not an easy decision and we sincerely apologize to all the fans who were expecting to see us perform,” the band expressed.
For keen “dubistas” — or fans of Urbandub, this is the band’s second time withdrawing from the same festival. Just last year, they cited “unforeseen circumstances beyond Urbandub” and their management’s control.
“[A] circus run by clowns,” Reddit user @amiD_13 said, with netizens dismayed about the festival’s “annual issues.”
Another Reddit user recalled the slew of complaints against the organizers of Circus Music Festival from patrons protesting its failure to deliver paid merchandise for its platinum concertgoers — even reaching the lines of former public service anchor Raffy Tulfo and the Department of Trade and Industry.
The organizers of Circus Music Festival 2026 have yet to release a formal statement regarding this matter.
Most recognized for their songs “First of Summer,” “Evidence,” and “The Fight is Over,” among others, Urbandub is the ultimate throwback to millennials who had cassette tapes!
