Drag performer Mac Coronel brings “Sheesh, A Taylor Love Story” to the DC/DOX Film Festival 2026, spotlighting queer art, fandom, and self-expression.

Drag performer and Taylor Swift impersonator Mac Coronel, professionally known as Taylor Sheesh, announces the upcoming film premiere of her docufilm “Sheesh, A Taylor Love Story,” in DC/DOX Film Festival 2026 this June.

A “message in a bottle” about fandom culture, Coronel frames queer art—such as drag—as vital to surviving a Philippines without equal rights, expanding it beyond mere impersonation into a “movement of joy, belonging, self-expression, and empowerment.”

Coronel is arguably a “mastermind” Swiftie, and she knows “all too well” about being “fearless” when facing criticism about body dysmorphia and physically impersonating her favorite pop star. Taylor Swift serves as an inspiration, not just for Coronel, but to queer people and/or women living in “The Man’s” world.

“Sheesh, A Taylor Love Story,” starring Coronel and her manager Andrew Pillerva, directed by Ramona Diaz, produced by Quonco Productions, is an official entry to the DC/DOX Film Festival 2026, on June 14.

Sheesh is living the life of a showgirl. Are you ready for it?
