“The Master Cutter” keeps Dingdong Dantes on top as his latest action-drama continues to lead Netflix charts.
One week after claiming the No. 1 spot, Dingdong Dantes continues to dominate as his television comeback series maintains its top position on streaming platform Netflix.
Since premiering on May 11 on GMA’s primetime slot, “The Master Cutter” has continued to make waves, consistently topping the digital streaming platform as new episodes are released.

During the program’s advance media screening, Dingdong admitted that taking on the series was far from easy, but also deeply fulfilling.
“Kapag mahal mo ‘yong trabaho mo, at ang mga kasama mo na halos ilang dekada na mo na rin kasama, napakasarap sa pakiramdam lalo na kapag may ganitong klaseng material ka. Very, very exciting,” Dingdong shared.
In the series, Dingdong plays Atoy, a former soldier who grew up in his father’s tailoring shop. After retiring from service, he takes on the family trade and becomes the titular master cutter.
For the actor, the project offers something refreshingly different both for himself and for viewers.
“Bilang manunuod, gusto rin natin ng something new all the time. Also, I’m so happy to be part of this unique [project]. It’s something everybody can relate to,” he said. “Isa siyang family story, sobrang nangingibabaw ang kwento ng puso and iyon ang gusto namin i-share sa mga manunuod.”
Dingdong also expressed excitement about returning to television drama, saying he missed the experience of working closely with a talented cast and crew.
“It’s something that I missed dahil ang galing ng ating mga kasama dito; at ng director, talagang napakasaya,” he added.
While “The Master Cutter” delivers a lot of action through intense firefights and fistfights, it also serves as a love letter to a profession rarely highlighted onscreen: tailoring.
In the story, Atoy secretly works as a tracker-for-hire while managing his tailoring shop, helping others find lost people or things much like his namesake, St. Anthony of Padua.
The series also stars Max Collins, Sienna Stevens, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, Catsup Eusebio, Polo Ravales, Rio Locsin, Joey Marquez and more.
