Shuvee Etrata shares how she turned online hate into self-love and why she believes real power starts from within.
Shuvee Etrata now finds herself often asked for advice for future “Pinoy Big Brother” housemates. When she does, she draws from her own journey inside Kuya’s house, one marked by growth, courage, and self-discovery.
“Siguro, sa mga bagong housemates, don’t be scared inside the house. Make the most out of it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime memory, and it’s going to be wonderful. Just stay true to yourself,” she said. “Kasi it’s going to be hard going inside, lalo na sa first weeks. You would have to mingle and test the waters. Pero if you stay true to yourself, everything else will follow.”
Her journey is proof that adversity can be a platform for awakening. Every challenge became a stepping stone toward self-empowerment, transforming Shuvee from a reality show contestant into an inspiring voice for authenticity and perseverance.
“Nakaka-miss ‘yong moments, pero I’m excited for the new housemates. Mararamdaman na nila ang magic ni Kuya,” she recalled. “Of course, nami-miss ko rin ‘yong PBB family ko. Magkakasama kami kagabi sa ‘Call Me Mother,’ and from time to time nagkakamustahan kami. But I’m really looking forward to seeing what flavor the next edition will be.”
That sense of excitement carries with it a deeper understanding of life’s lessons. For Shuvee, the house’s rules mirror those of the outside world—guidelines meant to shape not just behavior, but character.
“Sundin n’yo lang si Kuya,” she advised. “Kasi iyong rules inside the house, they correlate with the rules we live by in real life.”
Once a target of online scrutiny, Shuvee has since transformed past criticisms into her greatest source of strength. From the glare of public judgment to the glow of personal triumph, she has emerged as a symbol of grace and quiet resilience.
Now fondly known as the Nation’s Darling, Shuvee carries herself with calm confidence. This is proof that true power doesn’t come from perfection, but from perseverance. “Every day, I have tapings or shoots, pero nakatulong talaga siya kasi the moment I take it, I feel powerful, parang kaya ko lahat,” she told reporters, referring to Anna E food supplements, which she is now endorsing.
“Mas tinutulungan ako ng supplements na magtrabaho and to remind me that this is for a greater purpose,” she pointed out. “I’m not doing this for myself but also for my family. Anna E helps me feel powerful enough to continue and to achieve my dreams.”
Instead of letting online negativity break her, Shuvee chose introspection over reaction. Through faith, meditation, and self-awareness, she discovered that true beauty radiates from a grounded spirit and a clear sense of purpose.
“It’s really how and what you feel in your soul,” she said. “If you feed your soul well—through meditation, through the word of God, through positivity—you become stronger. Now, kaya ko nang hindi makinig sa mga negative sa buhay ko. I’m able to stand firm and just be more myself because I know my purpose. I know God is letting me go through all of this to learn from it. Now, I’m stronger than ever.”
