Another milestone: Liza Soberano joins “Imprint” as executive producer.
Liza Soberano is adding another milestone to her growing international career as she steps into the role of executive producer for the upcoming thriller film, “Imprint.”
While continuing to build her name in Hollywood, the actress is set to work behind the scenes on the project, which will be directed by acclaimed Filipino filmmaker Marie Jamora.
Jamora first made her mark in the Philippines, directing music videos such as Itchyworms’ “Love Team” and Sandwich’s “Sugod,” before helming her critically acclaimed debut feature, “Ang Nawawala,” which premiered at the Cinemalaya Film Festival in 2012.
She has since transitioned to directing in the United States, working on popular television series including “The Cleaning Lady” and “The Resident.”
Written by Charlene Sawit-Esguerra (“Saving Sally”), “Imprint” follows the story of a Filipino-American woman who uses her psychic abilities to hunt down a serial killer.
Aside from “Imprint,” Liza is also set to lend her voice to DreamWorks’ upcoming animated film “Forgotten Island,” alongside Grammy-winning artist H.E.R. and Broadway icon Lea Salonga.
Set for release in September 2026, the animated feature draws inspiration from Philippine mythology and follows a group of friends stranded on a magical island inhabited by mythical creatures like the kapre and manananggal.
