Ending SB19’s trilogy took years of courage, says 1Z Entertainment exec

According to the 1Z Entertainment chief, the biggest challenge was finding the right way to conclude the trilogy while staying true to its heart and message.

“The challenge was to really end the trilogy beautifully. ‘Yong puso at ‘yong vision on how to finish the trilogy, ‘yon ‘yong pinakamahirap na part,” he explained.

When asked when he realized “Wakas at Simula” had the potential to become the defining conclusion to SB19’s trilogy, De Dios pointed to the early stages of planning the group’s major concert.

“The moment we started planning for the concert,” he said. “We wanted that concert to be the monumental event that would end the trilogy.”

De Dios also revealed that the team took a leap of faith in several aspects of the project, including staging it in an open-space venue—an ambitious move that reflected the group’s creative mindset and willingness to take risks.

“SB19 always wants something new,” he said, highlighting the group’s drive to continuously reinvent themselves and deliver fresh experiences to fans.

For De Dios, “Wakas at Simula” represents not only the closing of a chapter but also the culmination of years of creative growth, determination, and belief in a vision that began long before the group’s rise to global success.

As the project continues to resonate with fans, one thing has become clear: ending the story took just as much courage as starting it.
