Fans eagerly await the official announcement of a potential film collaboration between the noon-time rival hosts.
Comedy icons Vice Ganda of “It’s Showtime” and Vic Sotto of “Eat Bulaga” are set to return to the big screen after a now‑deleted social media post by Gleam Artist Sofi Fermazi hinted at a possible movie collaboration between the two.
Before the post was taken down, Fermazi — on her Facebook page — promoted her musical guest performance for Vice and Vic’s unconfirmed upcoming film at a Gateway 2 mall event on July 5.
Netizens were quick to screenshot the photos before they were removed, sparking ongoing discussion about the long‑awaited possibility of seeing the two comedy titans share the big screen. “si ate naman nauna pang mag announce ” a user reposted.
For over a decade, Vice Ganda’s It’s Showtime and Vic Sotto’s Eat Bulaga went head‑to‑head in the noon‑time slot, making any collaboration between the two a crossover that fans once thought impossible.
In an April 2026 interview with ABS‑CBN, Vice had been coy when asked about a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) collaboration with Sotto. He alluded only to a major star joining his next project: “Bongga ‘yung ka‑collab ko. Pasabog collab…” Vice said.
Vice Ganda assured fans of a strong comeback as preparations are underway, taking a break from drama to deliver a campy comedic film — a return to his roots made timely by the renewed TikTok virality of “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy”.
Vice remained vague as he ended the interview with a playful tease: “Gusto mo bang mag‑movie tayo, Bossing?” — suggesting that despite their rivalry, the two share a friendly rapport.
