Angeline Quinto taps drag queens for ‘AQUINSE’ anniv concert

Power Diva taps Viñas De Luxe, Brigiding, Precious Paula Nicole, teases possible drag transformation for 15th anniversary show.

Angeline Quinto is bringing drag excellence to the stage for her upcoming 15th anniversary concert, “AQUINSE.”

During the concert’s media conference, the Power Diva revealed that drag artists Viñas De Luxe, Brigiding, and Precious Paula Nicole are part of the lineup. She said it was an easy decision, citing her long-standing love for drag and the community that has supported her through the years.

“Marami akong mga kaibigan na nagda-drag at fan talaga ako ng mga drag. Ang dami ko ring mga supporters na drag queens,” she shared.

Quinto also revealed that she had long wanted to do a drag production number after previously receiving an invitation that did not push through.

“Dati talaga na-invite ako na gumawa ng isang production number as drag queen, hindi lang natuloy. So bakit hindi natin gawin sa Araneta Coliseum, basta tama ang songs, tama ang mga taong kasama ko,” she said.

She added that collaborating with Brigiding felt natural, as they have already worked together before.

Quinto also teased that the drag queens may not be the only ones serving looks that night. Asked if fans could expect her own drag transformation, the singer smiled and said, “Abangan.”

“AQUINSE” is set on August 22 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with tickets available via TicketNet outlets.
