Nico Locco says career is busier than ever after private video leak

The actor describes his latest film as another meaningful project in his growing career.

“Overbooked.”

That is how actor and event host Nico Locco describes his career these days as he continues moving forward from the controversy involving the leak of intimate videos featuring him and other male personalities.

Rather than dwell on the issue, Nico said he chose to focus on the opportunities that came after and the lessons he gained from the experience.

“I think just to be honest, since the scandal, I’ve been I held a lot of blessings,” he shared during the media conference for his latest VMX film, “Booking.”

“I’m not saying because of the scandal marami akong blessings. But you know, maybe it’s God’s mysterious way of working and giving me more blessings because of the controversy,” he added.

While the controversy became part of his journey, Nico said his main goal remains proving himself as an actor capable of taking on different roles.

“There’s always a stigma of being a bold artist sa VMX, na pang-intimate scenes lang. I think my mission as an actor is to show yes, I do a lot of films, but I can do other things as well,” he said.

Nico acknowledged that many performers associated with VMX continue to face the challenge of breaking stereotypes tied to the platform.

Beyond VMX movies, Nico said he has upcoming projects with GMA Network. Still, he remains proud to be part of “Booking,” describing it as another meaningful project in his growing filmography.
