Filipinos can audition for Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke roles in global film adaptation, with skills in movement and martial arts a plus.

Filipino aspiring actors, athletes, dancers, and martial artists now have a chance to bring one of anime’s most iconic characters to life.

Fiction Shore Casting Department has officially opened the Philippine leg of the global casting search for the lead roles of Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha in Lionsgate’s upcoming live-action, English-language adaptation of Naruto, the globally acclaimed manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto.

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

According to the casting call, no previous film acting experience is required. Instead, the production is looking for naturally expressive performers with strong physical abilities. Experience in martial arts, dance, gymnastics, movement, parkour, rock climbing, or skateboarding is considered an advantage.

Applicants must be fluent in English, although any accent is welcome.

The production is searching for:

  • Naruto: Male, 16 to 20 years old, mixed-race Asian, with a lean and athletic build.
  • Sakura: Female, 16 to 20 years old (to play 16), Asian or mixed-race Asian, athletic and toned.
  • Sasuke: Male, 16 to 20 years old, Asian or mixed-race Asian, lean and athletic.

Interested applicants should email their role, full name, age, height, contact details, two recent photos (one close-up and one full-body), and a self-introduction video to kyle.castingph@gmail.com. Minors must have their parent or legal guardian submit the application on their behalf.

The Philippine casting is being handled exclusively by casting director Kyle Jumayne Francisco, with organizers warning applicants to ignore communications from any unauthorized email addresses.

Shortlisted performers must be available for filming from January to August 2027.

Based on Kishimoto’s beloved manga, Naruto follows young ninja Naruto Uzumaki as he embarks on his first mission alongside teammates Sakura and Sasuke. What begins as a routine assignment soon spirals into a dangerous adventure that forces Naruto to confront the mysterious power hidden within him.

Applications for the Philippine casting call will be accepted until August 7, 2026, at 6 PM.
