VXON’s Sam, Patrick open up on burnout, urge fans to prioritize mental health

P-pop idols share coping tools like journaling, sports, and support systems as they normalize emotional struggles.

As conversations surrounding mental health continue to grow, VXON members Patrick and Sam opened up about how they personally deal with burnout and emotional struggles, while encouraging fans to seek support when things become overwhelming.

For Patrick, having someone willing to simply listen can make all the difference.

“Para sa ‘kin, sobrang importante na may makikinig sa’yo, na may mapagsasabihan ka, kahit isang tao lang, kahit isang tenga lang. Basta makikinig sila,” he shared.

The P-pop idol added that he often turns to his fellow VXON members whenever he feels emotionally drained.

“Ako, sa boys nag-o-open up ako sa kanila kapag nabu-burn out na kasi sobrang importante na nailalabas mo ’yung emotions mo. Miski pa walang kahit ano, makikinig lang.”

Meanwhile, Sam shared that writing down his thoughts has become one of his healthiest coping mechanisms.

“Ako personally, very helpful ’yung journaling. Humihinga lang ako, nagpapahinga lang kapag nabu-burn out, kapag kinakain na ng negative thoughts, which is normal. Minsan physical sports din talaga aside sa journaling para mailabas ko ’yung emotions and thoughts ko,” he said.

The group also reminded supporters that experiencing burnout is nothing to be ashamed of.

“It’s normal to feel burnout. You just have to always remember that whatever you’re going through matters,” VXON shared.

Dubbed the “Monsters of P-pop,” VXON officially debuted in 2022 and recently took another major step in their career after signing a partnership with Japan’s PIA Corporation, paving the way for their official Japanese debut. Despite their growing international activities, the members hope their message reminds fans that taking care of their mental well-being is just as important as chasing their dreams.
