An old ad from 2005 has fans marveling at how similar Angel Aquino looks more than two decades later.
A 21-year-old photo of Angel Aquino is getting fresh attention online after a netizen stumbled upon an old advertisement featuring the acclaimed actress—and couldn’t believe how little she appears to have changed.
Ina Azarcon-Bolivar shared a photo of Aquino from an old Ensembles advertisement dated July 3, 2005, which she found while looking for pictures for her daughter’s assignment.
“Hayup she looks exactly the same,” Azarcon-Bolivar wrote, marveling at Aquino’s appearance more than two decades ago.
She then delivered the punchline: “Can someone ask her how she feels about garlic? And holy water?”
The joke plays on the familiar vampire myth: if Aquino seemingly doesn’t age, perhaps garlic and holy water might reveal her secret.
In the black-and-white fashion advertisement, a younger Aquino is seen wearing a striped top and statement earrings. Yet despite the unmistakably early-2000s styling—and the ad carrying the date July 3, 2005—her features remain strikingly familiar to audiences who see her on screen today.
Aquino has long been admired not only for her acclaimed performances but also for her elegant and seemingly ageless appearance.
Sometimes, however, it takes an old photograph to put the passage of time into perspective.
The Ensembles ad is already 21 years old.
