Wilbert Ross thanks writer Gwy Saludes for career-defining role

Wilbert Ross expresses deep gratitude to author Gwy Saludes for creating his breakout character, Arkin Sanchez.

Actor Wilbert Ross expressed his gratitude to writer Gwy Saludes, particularly for creating Arkin Sanchez, the character he portrayed in the hit Viva One series “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow” alongside on-screen partner Bea Binene.

During their exchange, Saludes asked Wilbert if he was happy with their adaptation.

Gwy asked, “Yes, happy ka?” which Wilbert responded with, “Oo naman. Tinulungan ako ni Arkin sa pangarap ko.”

The simple admission struck fans, who praised Wilbert for remaining appreciative of the character and the writer behind his breakout role.

“I tell you, this man is so grateful for everything. Sobrang deserve mo lahat, Bert!”

Saludes, known online as 4reuminct, is the author behind the bestselling University Series, whose stories have expanded from Wattpad and Twitter alternate universes into mainstream streaming adaptations. 

“Golden Scenery of Tomorrow,” the fifth installment, centers on Arkin and Via, portrayed by Bea.

For Wilbert, Arkin became more than a role, but a part of the journey that pushed his career forward. Following the series, his partnership with Bea grew into the popular WilBea tandem, with projects including “Love U Lots” and the local adaptation of “Pee Mak.” He is also set to star in the Korean-Filipino action thriller “The Guardian.”
