The third Hakot Relay leg will take place on Sept. 19 at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus City, Cavite.

The Puregold Hakot Relay is apparently the race to beat when it comes to going home with a loaded loot bag.

An Aug. 31 Facebook post by CN Creatives—an event media service specializing in marathons, fun runs, and athletic competitions—placed the Puregold Hakot Relay at No. 1 in its unofficial ranking of races with the most default freebies.

The page captioned the list, “List of Paldo in terms of number of default freebies na ‘nakalagay agad sa loot bag.’”

The ranking puts the Puregold Hakot Relay ahead of the Mercury Drug Suki Dash and Robinsons Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run, which tied for second. The Suki Dash comes with a loot bag, towel, and medal, while the Buddy Run includes a grocery loot bag.

DailyFix Power Run ranked third with a tote bag and FAC Goodie Bag. Women’s Run PH, IRUNPH, McDonald’s Stripes Run, Run 7-Eleven, the Rexona 10 Miler Series, and The Great UP Run round out the list—with each race offering its own mix of race-kit inclusions, loot bags, and finisher items.

While the ranking is unofficial, the No. 1 spot fits the Hakot Relay’s premise.

The third Hakot Relay leg will take place on Sept. 19 at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus City, Cavite. Relay participants will get a grocery sling bag and a finisher’s grocery bag, while runners in the new 8K Individual Challenge will get a finisher’s grocery cart and other exclusive prizes.

The Hakot Relay debuted in November 2025 and has since made stops at Burnham Green Park in Ermita and Iloilo’s Sunset Boulevard. The Cavite leg will be its first in Southern Luzon.

Every registered runner will also receive a race kit with a singlet, bib, and finisher’s medal.

The concept is straightforward: runners don’t just race to the finish line—they also have to work for their grocery haul along the way. For an event built around the Filipino idea of “hakot,” the loot is part of the attraction.

Some runners in the comments appeared to agree with CN Creatives’ assessment. “Korek na korek ka dyan sa ranking, Lodi,” one commenter wrote. Another said, “Alam na this,” followed by laughing emojis.

For an event called the Hakot Relay, the No. 1 spot is certainly on-brand.
