It was an almost-kiss for James and Kathryn in ‘Someone, Someday’

Jordan’s lingering daydream sparks romantic tension, teasing a deeper turn for the lead duo’s onscreen friendship.

Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid nearly had their first on-screen kiss as Billy and Jordan in ABS-CBN’s “Someone, Someday.”

On Tuesday’s episode that aired on Kapamilya Online Live, Jordan (James) found himself daydreaming about kissing Billy (Kathryn), giving viewers a glimpse of how his feelings for his childhood best friend are slowly changing.

Billy and Jordan grew up together and eventually teamed up to create “Love List,” a matchmaking and dating app designed to help women find meaningful connections.

But while Billy is focused on building the app, Jordan is beginning to see their friendship in a different light. His sweet daydream hints that what started as a lifelong friendship could be turning into something more.

Their growing chemistry also marks a much-anticipated team-up for the two stars, who have both become household names through their respective love-team partnerships.

James previously admitted that he was nervous about working with Kathryn for the first time as leading partners.

“I actually told Kath when we first started working, ‘I’m so nervous. I actually haven’t worked with another leading lady.’ And then she was like, ‘It’s okay, I know how you feel.’ At least we’re on the same page.”

He also said their collaboration had been anticipated by fans for years, opening the door to new possibilities for both actors.

“As far as it comes to working together, I think the crossover of me and Kath working together has been long anticipated by a lot of the fans. This [newly] opened way of working together is allowing for more possibilities, a time for more opportunities, such as ‘Someone, Someday’ to exist,” he shared.

Directed by Chad Vidanes and Dolly Dulu under Dreamscape Entertainment, “Someone, Someday” airs weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z, and TV5. It is also available on Netflix and iWant.
