The actor-producer is bringing together the country’s top OPM and P-Pop artists for a two-day music festival that celebrates Filipino talent.

“An opportunity to give back.”

This was Alden Richards’ motivation for mounting the first-ever Wonderful Moments Music Festival, a two-day music celebration happening this December. For the actor-producer, the project goes beyond entertainment—it’s a way to uplift Filipino talent and give back to the industry that shaped him.

“One of the reasons I’m doing this is because maganda ang platform in promoting the industry and Filipino talent. Huwag nating hayaan na ibang lahi pa ang maka-recognize sa Filipino talent. We should be very much concerned about that, too, especially us in the Entertainment industry,” Alden pointed out. “Kumbaga, we are now given the opportunity to give back.”

Set for Dec. 6 and 7 at the SMDC Festival Grounds, the event promises a powerhouse lineup of world-class Filipino acts including Sarah Geronimo, Ely Buendia, Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Gloc-9, BINI, Cup of Joe, Arthur Nery, Adie, Alamat, Denise Julia, Dionela, Over October, Earl Agustin, Amiel Sol, and PBB artists.

Organized by iMe in partnership with Alden’s own company Myriad Entertainment, the festival aims to celebrate the artistry, creativity, and resilience of Filipino musicians while highlighting the vibrancy of the local music scene.

“I think everything that I’ve done since I started my company way back in 2022, nakadagdag sa kaalaman ko in decision-making, as well as given me more input as a creative process,” Alden shared, reflecting on his growth as both an artist and producer.

Mounting a massive event like this, however, came with its challenges. “One of the challenges while getting these acts is ‘yung pagkakasunod-sunod nila in terms of performance on the first and second day. Kasi each day has separate acts. Hindi rin basta-basta ang guests, so we really had to be on point as to how all the talents can be treated fairly,” he explained.

Alden also emphasized the importance of diversity and balance in curating the lineup. “The genre, the image, and what they can bring to the table also matter as well. A music festival is the culmination of a lot of performances, so hindi puwedeng pare-pareho. Isa ‘yon sa consideration while choosing the performers.”

For Alden, the Wonderful Moments Music Festival is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of passion, collaboration, and the Filipino spirit. “Whenever we pay for platforms for entertainment, we make sure that our money is put into good value so to speak, kung ano ang ibinayad namin, ‘yon ang gusto naming maramdaman,” he said.

Tickets for the Wonderful Moments Music Festival will be available soon via SM Tickets.
