The Miss Universe Philippines 2026 titleholder opens up about her PMOS journey and wellness routine.

Preparing for the Miss Universe stage is not just about physical conditioning for Bea Millan-Windorski. The Miss Universe Philippines 2026 titleholder is also learning to manage a personal health concern after recently being diagnosed with polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, or PMOS.

Bea opened up about her diagnosis during an event with wellness brand New Moon, where she discussed her experience with hormonal concerns and becoming more conscious of managing her health.

“I was recently diagnosed with PMOS,” Bea shared, adding that one of the symptoms she experienced was hormonal acne, particularly breakouts around her chin before her period.

“I especially break out on my chin right before my period but I’ve been seeing a lot less now that I’m taking Hormo Balance,” she said, referring to the supplement she has incorporated into her wellness routine.

Bea said the experience has encouraged her to become more proactive about her overall well-being.

“Now, I really feel like I could take control of my health a lot more. Lastly, a lot of my hormonal acne has been addressed,” she said.

New Moon has described PMOS as a broader hormonal and metabolic condition, while recent coverage of the brand’s initiative emphasized that women’s experiences with the condition can differ and encouraged women to listen to their bodies and seek proper medical guidance.

For Bea, talking openly about her own experience is also a way of reminding other women that they do not have to navigate hormonal health concerns alone.

“I’m one of millions of women in this country who are experiencing PMOS and as I said earlier in our chat, one of the things that I love most about New Moon and Miss Jonah is the community. She really created a community, CoMOONIEty rather.”

Bea believes that having a supportive community can help women become more informed about their own health while learning from the experiences of others.

“And, we have other women that we can rely on to learn from their experiences but also look for what works best for us and our own health,” she added.

With her pageant preparations continuing, Bea is set to represent the Philippines at the upcoming #MissUniverse pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She will carry the country’s hopes as she seeks the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown, following Catriona Gray’s historic victory in 2018.
