A local comfort food restaurant in Caloocan City is drawing admiration after sharing a heartwarming tribute video for an employee who resigned to pursue “greener pastures.”
In its social media post, Caloocan Food Vibes proudly celebrated the departure of its longtime staff member, an unusual move compared to the typical response where resignations are often met with indifference.
“Yung staff namin for years, nag-file na ng resignation for greener pastures. Oh edi i-celebrate natin!” the restaurant said, emphasizing its support for its team’s personal and professional growth and development. “Everyone deserves to grow.”
Many netizens pointed out that the restaurant’s owner, Reyster John Basilio, showed a rare and healthy approach to leadership. In her resignation letter, the employee expressed deep gratitude for her time with the business.
“I will always appreciate the memories and lessons I gained during my time here, and I will carry them with me wherever I go,” she wrote.
Netizens commended the establishment’s supportive environment. “No wonder this business is so successful. Mababait ang mga tao behind it at talagang makikita mong may puso… sana lahat ng business owners kagaya niyo,” a commenter said.
