The upcoming horror film explores a chilling ritual tied to a haunted mirror and a mother under dark influence.
Charo Santos-Concio and Julia Barretto are set to headline the upcoming horror film “Knock Three Times,” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jerrold Tarog.
The film follows a young woman returning home from rehab, only to discover that her mother has fallen under the influence of a malevolent antique mirror.
Inspired by Filipino urban folklore, the story centers on a chilling childhood ritual involving mirrors, candles, and three knocks, an eerie tradition that serves as the foundation of the narrative.
Created by Real Florido, the project was first unveiled last year and was previously selected as a finalist at the EST N8 Horror Pitch during the Asia TV Forum & Market in Singapore.
RJ Agustin, CEO and president of CreaZion Studios, shared his excitement about the project. “This casting marks an exciting step forward for ‘Knock Three Times’ as we bring together an exceptional team of artists,” he said in an exclusive interview with Variety.
“At CreaZion, we are committed to championing bold, filmmaker-driven works that elevate Southeast Asian storytelling stories that are deeply rooted in our culture yet resonate far beyond our borders.”
Additional casting announcements and production timeline details are expected to be revealed soon.
