Philippine gaming firm expands its presence in Brazil as it joins the country’s responsible gaming organization alongside leading international betting operators.
A Philippine gaming company has landed alongside some of the biggest names in global betting as DigiPlus Interactive Corp. joins Brazil’s Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR), adding another milestone to its overseas expansion.
The membership comes as DigiPlus grows its presence in Brazil through its BingoPlus brand. It also places the company in an industry group that promotes responsible gambling, supports stronger regulation and works to curb illegal betting, alongside global operators including bet365, BetMGM, Betano and Betfair.
“The company’s entry demonstrates the maturity of the sector and reinforces its commitment to regulation and the firm fight against the illegal betting market,” IBJR Chief Executive Officer Carlos Lima said.
The development gives DigiPlus a seat in discussions on industry standards in one of the world’s largest regulated betting markets, where compliance and consumer protection have become increasingly important as competition intensifies.
International expansion today is about more than launching in a new market. Companies also need to earn the confidence of regulators, industry groups and consumers, especially in highly regulated industries such as online gaming. DigiPlus’ latest move shows how Philippine companies are beginning to compete on those terms as they grow beyond the local market, where credibility can be as important as scale in sustaining long-term growth.
