QUBE says pricing remains under review during pilot phase.
The newly launched smart lockers at Ayala Triangle Gardens drew criticism over rates reaching ₱550, but following radar’s initial report, provider QUBE has added a ₱80 two-hour rental option.
In an email exclusively sent to radar Business, QUBE said: “As part of our ongoing evaluation at Ayala Triangle Gardens, we also plan to conduct a survey among runners and other users in the area to better understand the locker sizes, rental periods, and pricing that would be most useful to them.”
QUBE said its lockers are priced differently depending on whether customers choose Single Access or Multi-Access. As of September 17, only the Multi-Access option is available at QUBE’s Ayala Triangle Gardens units.
radar Business reported on September 15 that prices ranged from ₱150 to ₱550, depending on the locker size and rental duration, with rental periods ranging from four to 12 hours. The initial pricing drew criticism online, with some users calling the rates “outrageous.”
Following the initial report, QUBE added a two-hour rental option at ₱80 for a Large locker and ₱125 for an XL locker.
“Our goal is to provide flexible locker options that meet our customers’ needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. We’re actively reviewing actual usage and customer feedback,” QUBE said.
