After months of dating rumors and public sightings, Gela Atayde and Zaijian Jaranilla appear to have taken their relationship to the next level with Gela seemingly making their romance Instagram official.
Gela fueled the romance buzz on Sunday with a sweet birthday greeting for Zaijian, calling him her “idol since ’09” before adding, “Love you, sungit.”
The affectionate message quickly caught attention, with many taking it as the clearest sign yet that the two young stars are more than just close friends.
Their relationship has been the subject of speculation for months, particularly after the pair were reportedly spotted getting cozy at a coffee shop inside a mall in Mandaluyong.
Veteran entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula also previously shared details of the sighting, adding to the growing curiosity surrounding the two.
Gela and Zaijian first became closely linked after working together on the ABS-CBN youth drama “Senior High” and its sequel, “High Street.” Their chemistry on screen eventually appeared to spill over into their personal lives as they became increasingly visible together off camera.
Zaijian has also been spotted spending time with the Atayde family on several occasions, including family milestones involving Gela’s parents, Art Atayde and Sylvia Sanchez.
He was reportedly present during the couple’s wedding anniversary and Sylvia’s 55th birthday celebration, where Gela was photographed with her arm around Zaijian.
While neither had previously made a direct confirmation about their relationship, Gela’s latest birthday message with its “Love you, sungit” sign-off has certainly given fans plenty to talk about.
