Official release dates, editorial leadership, and publication formats are yet to be revealed.
The Philippines is getting its own edition of ELLE, one of the world’s most recognizable fashion magazines, with its local debut scheduled for 2027.
The announcement was made by Filipino entrepreneur Josh Yugen, founder of House of Yugen, who confirmed on Instagram that the international fashion publication is officially entering the Philippine market.
“Google: What is the world’s No. 1 female media brand and largest fashion magazine? Yes, it’s ELLE—and it’s coming to the Philippines in 2027!” Yugen wrote.
The expansion marks another milestone for ELLE, the French fashion magazine established in 1945, which has grown into a global media brand with more than 50 international editions.
Yugen described the development as the biggest achievement of his career, particularly given his beginnings without wealth or influential connections.
“I once thought this was impossible for someone who grew up without wealth or connections. But God has shown me that with Him, all things are possible,” he shared.
The entrepreneur also reflected on personal tragedies, including the deaths of two brothers, aged 34 and 38, his father in December 2023, and his grandmother in July 2025.
He credited his faith and perseverance for helping him overcome these losses while continuing to build his businesses.
In 2015, Yugen founded Xpedition, which he described as the first Filipino-owned travel and lifestyle magazine in the Gulf.
His company, House of Yugen, has since expanded into fashion events, concerts, charity galas, masterclasses, and international beauty pageants. It also holds three Miss Universe franchises and has worked with Hollywood celebrities and international fashion personalities.
Yugen identified his business partner, Ian Borromeo, as the publisher of ELLE Philippines.
“To ELLE International and our family across 50+ editions worldwide: thank you for welcoming us. We are honoured to bring a Filipino voice to this legacy,” he wrote.
The Philippine edition is expected to create a new international platform for Filipino fashion designers, models, photographers, stylists, and other creative professionals.
Its arrival will also introduce another major international title into the country’s fashion publishing industry, where established publications such as Vogue Philippines, Harper’s Bazaar Philippines, and MEGA already compete for readers and influence.
While Yugen confirmed the 2027 launch, further details about ELLE Philippines’ editorial leadership, publication format, and official release date have yet to be announced.
“This is the biggest blessing of my career. May it open doors for Filipino talent, stories, and the next generation of dreamers,” Yugen said.
