Actress pleads for compassion while making her primetime TV comeback following a battle with addiction.
Actress Katherine Luna is speaking from the heart after receiving painful judgments over her personal life, following her revelation that she has eight children from six previous relationships.
The actress became emotional as she addressed harsh online reactions, stressing that the relationships she entered were rooted in love and that her children should not be judged based on the circumstances surrounding their birth.
“Nagmahal ako paulit-ulit,” she said, adding that she also believed the men she was with had genuinely loved her.
Katherine acknowledged that people may know parts of her past but not the experiences and circumstances behind her decisions.
“Huwag niyong durugin ang isang tao kung hindi niyo naman alam ang buong story,” she pleaded.
“Huwag niyong durugin ang isang tao kung hindi niyo naranasan kung ano ang naging buhay niya,” she added, reminding critics to show compassion before passing judgment.
Meanwhile, Katherine is making her acting comeback as Pia Catacutan in ABS-CBN’s primetime drama Sigabo, where her character creates tension in the workplace of Sam, played by #JuliaMontes.
Her return to mainstream television came after she was personally invited by #CocoMartin, one of the show’s directors and producers and a longtime friend. Katherine has also thanked Julia for supporting her as she rebuilt her career and personal life.
Earlier this year, Katherine shared her difficult road to recovery from drug addiction through TikTok videos, expressing gratitude to Coco and Julia for standing by her during one of the most challenging periods of her life.
