Finalist exits competition early, cites personal reasons and calls for kindness amid online buzz.
Model and TV personality Lou Yanong has officially withdrawn from the Century Tuna Superbods 2026 competition, just weeks after securing a spot as one of this year’s finalists.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, the “Blood vs Duty” cast member revealed that she made the difficult decision to step away from the competition due to “personal and unavoidable reasons.”
“I wrestled with it for days because I know what a privilege it is to be chosen as a finalist. However, after a lot of reflection, I decided to discontinue my journey due to personal and unavoidable reasons,” she wrote.
Despite ending her journey early, Lou expressed nothing but gratitude to the organizers and the people she met throughout the competition.
“To the Century Tuna team, the competition was something I was genuinely excited about and will always be grateful for. To my newfound family in Superbods, thank you for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of something that inspires so many people to pursue healthier and stronger lives,” she shared.
She also wished the remaining finalists the best as the competition continues.
“I am humbled by the kindness everyone has shown me and I wish Century Tuna Superbods and all the finalists I had the pleasure of meeting nothing but success. Thank you for your understanding,” she added.
The organizers also released a statement acknowledging and respecting Lou’s decision to withdraw.
“Every Superbod journey is unique, and we respect each individual’s path. With that in mind, we acknowledge Lou Yanong’s decision to withdraw from the Century Tuna Superbods 2026 competition. We thank Lou for being part of this year’s Superbod journey and for inspiring others to pursue healthier, stronger lives. We wish her all the best as she continues her journey, and we remain committed to celebrating every individual’s path toward becoming their best self,” the organization said.
Lou later thanked the organizers for their support, writing, “Thank @/centurytunasuperbods for kindly understanding and respecting my decision, and to everyone who has shown me so much love and support throughout this short-lived journey—thank you from the bottom of my heart. It truly means more than you know.”
Meanwhile, Lou also addressed the public in the comments section of her post, urging everyone to choose kindness amid the online discussions surrounding her withdrawal.
“In this cruel world we live in, it’s never too late to be kind. As this goes on, I urge everyone to be a little considerate and be kind. We always have something to say when everything doesn’t go the way we think it should happen, and when we see chances being given to people who don’t usually get them, we also have something to say. Words are lethal weapons. Please be kind,” she wrote.
The Century Tuna Superbods 2026 competition marks its 20th anniversary with its “Superbod Era” campaign. This year’s edition features 40 finalists, including returning contenders, ageless aspirants, and transgender participants, highlighting diverse stories of health, fitness, and personal transformation.
