“English nga hirap na ako, French pa!” the actress joked about the language challenge for the role.

Returning to the big screen with a new movie brings both excitement and pressure for Marian Rivera, who is ready to show audiences a different side of herself in the upcoming film “Remember.”

Director Mae Cruz-Alviar admitted feeling the pressure as she reunites with Rivera and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, following the phenomenal success of their 2023 blockbuster “Rewind.”

For Rivera, however, the goal goes beyond repeating their previous success. She hopes audiences will leave the cinema with something meaningful to take home after watching the film.

While “Rewind” remains a memorable experience in her career, the actress said she made a conscious effort to bring something fresh to her character in “Remember.”

Beyond exploring a new role, motherhood has also influenced the projects Rivera chooses to take on. With her children now among her biggest priorities, she wants to be part of films they can watch and feel proud of.

Working alongside her husband also brings a familiar dynamic to the set, although Rivera emphasized that professionalism remains essential to their partnership as co-stars.

Despite her years in the entertainment industry, Rivera believes there is still plenty to discover and learn as an actress. She remains eager to work with more performers and continue growing through every project.

“Sa totoo lang bilang artista, marami pa akong gustong matutunan at gustong gawin. At hindi ako titigil na matuto kasi sa buhay ko bilang aktres, marami pa akong gusto makatrabaho, marami pa akong gusto matutunan sa mga ka-eksena ko,” she said.

Rivera also reflected on how growing older has changed her perspective, allowing her to learn from past experiences rather than simply reacting to situations.

On a lighter note, the actress revealed that she is also taking French lessons with the help of her co-star Zia Grace, who portrays her daughter in the film.

“Ay oo, may nagtuturo sa amin,” Rivera said, before joking about the challenge of learning another language. “English nga hirap na ako! French pa? So, good luck! So, panoorin n’yo.”

Filmed in Quebec, Canada, “Remember” is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on November 11 through ABS-CBN Studios, Star Cinema, APT Entertainment, AgostoDos Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.
