The property developer is adding nearly 2,000 rooms over the next three years as it builds a presence in Palawan, Pampanga, Laguna, Bacolod, and Pasig.
Megaworld Corp. is pushing deeper into the country’s tourism and hospitality space, with six new hotels set to rise over the next three years as it moves closer to its target of more than 20 hotels and around 9,000 rooms by its 40th year.
The nationwide hospitality footprint
The expansion adds nearly 2,000 rooms to the portfolio and spreads across key growth areas outside Metro Manila, from beachside destinations in Palawan to emerging business districts in Pampanga and Bacolod, alongside established townships in Pasig and leisure developments in Laguna.
The biggest chunk of the pipeline is in Palawan, where the property developer is building two beachfront hotels inside its 462-hectare Paragua Coastown in San Vicente. Savoy Hotel Palawan and Paragua Sands Hotel will together offer more than 600 rooms, positioned within an ecotourism township that combines shoreline access with mountain views, as the area continues to draw stronger tourism interest.
In Pampanga, Savoy Capital Town is rising as Megaworld’s first hotel north of Metro Manila, located within Capital Town in San Fernando and surrounded by residential, office, and retail developments. In Laguna, The Hamptons Hotel is being built along Lake Caliraya, leaning into waterfront leisure stays within a growing, integrated community.
In Pasig, ArcoVia Hotel is taking shape as the tallest hotel in the portfolio, positioned across the Arco de Emperador in ArcoVia City with sweeping city and mountain views. In Bacolod, The Kingsford at The Upper East is being developed as a business- and events-focused hotel, with plans for VIP facilities, a 400-seat grand ballroom, and a large bronze MassKara Queen installation as a cultural marker.
A highly lucrative cushion
The rollout comes as developers continue expanding hospitality bets beyond Metro Manila, with township-based hotels increasingly becoming part of larger mixed-use developments built around tourism, business travel, and staycation demand.
Leaning on leisure and business stays to buffer the property market, Megaworld rolls out six new hotels nationwide.

Using regional township growth to strengthen asset portfolios
Megaworld's massive hotel anchors in regional townships such as Capital Town in Pampanga and The Upper East in Bacolod are expected to boost commercial values in the surrounding areas. Consider establishing auxiliary retail services, premium food and beverage concepts, or localized logistics solutions near these new hotel sites to capitalize on the predictable influx of high-spending business and convention visitors.
Individual retail investors looking to get into the lucrative hospitality market without the hassle of traditional property management should keep an eye on Megaworld's condotel investment tranches (such as The Kingsford or Savoy series). These units allow you to purchase a fractional ownership of a hotel room key, which gives you a hands-free share of total pooled hotel room revenues as well as annual free-stay vouchers.
