Songwriter behind Sarah Geronimo hit shares deeply personal take on emotional OPM ballad.

From songwriter to singer, Miguel Mendoza comes full circle as he finally performs his own version of “Isa Pang Araw,” the heartfelt ballad popularized by Sarah Geronimo.

At his recent single launch, the former “Pinoy Dream Academy” finalist took the stage to deliver a deeply personal rendition of the song he originally wrote, offering listeners a closer look at the emotions behind one of OPM’s most enduring inspirational tracks.

Miguel revealed that “Isa Pang Araw” was born from his longing for his late father, making the song far more intimate than many may have realized.

While the track gained widespread recognition through Sarah Geronimo’s powerful interpretation, Miguel shared that his original dream had always been to become a recording artist. Though his path led him to songwriting, he continued creating music behind the scenes, penning songs for some of the country’s biggest names.

Now stepping back into the spotlight, Miguel said he feels grateful to finally share the song in his own voice—just as it was first written, straight from the heart.
