‘Miss Q and A’ returns for Pride Month, bringing back iconic awra

After years of fan demand, “Miss Q and A” is officially returning for a brand-new season—and its timing couldn’t be more fitting.

The announcement comes as the Philippines celebrates Pride Month, bringing back a competition that has long been a platform for LGBTQIA+ talent, wit, and self-expression. Host Vice Ganda shared the exciting news, saying, “It’s PRIDE MONTH! Perfect for ‘Miss Q and A.’ Tara na mga veyklaccchhh!!!”

First launched in 2017, “Miss Q and A” quickly became one of the most iconic segments in “It’s Showtime.” Inspired by the question-and-answer portion of beauty pageants, the competition put queer contestants, many of them gay men and trans women, at center stage, challenging them to showcase not just beauty, but intelligence, humor, confidence, and quick thinking.

At a time when LGBTQIA+ representation on mainstream television was often limited to supporting or comedic roles, “Miss Q and A” shifted the spotlight.
