AAP halts permits; Toyota postpones races
Racing and motorsport organizations have cancelled events indefinitely to support fuel conservation efforts amid ongoing domestic supply constraints.
The Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the country’s leading auto club, has temporarily halted the issuance of new organizing permits for sanctioned motorsport events. The organization did not indicate when it will resume issuing permits.
“Recognizing that motorsports is inherently dependent on petroleum-based fuels, the AAP acknowledges its responsibility to support national energy conservation efforts and help ensure energy stability during this critical period,” the group said.
Toyota Motor Philippines and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines have also postponed upcoming events in line with the announcement.

The race is off. The AAP and Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines have suspended all motorsports events indefinitely to support national fuel conservation efforts during the ongoing energy crisis.
